The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

This isn’t just a good chocolate chip cookie recipe… this is the “throw alllllllll of your other chocolate chip cookie recipes away” recipe. It simply is the BEST Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe EVER! Let the baking begin…

Ingredients:

1 Bag of Chocolate Chips

1/2 Cup Cream Cheese ***THIS IS A MUST – it’s the big, secret ingredient!

1/2 Cup Butter

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar

2 Tsp Vanilla

1 Large Egg

2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour

1 Tsp Baking Soda

2 Tsp Corn Starch

1 Pinch of Salt

DIRECTIONS:

Let me start by saying, I ALWAYS double this recipe – there’s no point in making just one batch – they will be devoured immediately LOL. I double all ingredients – except the bag of chocolate chips – I still only use one bag – you’ll see why when you mix them in…

Set your oven to 375 & preheat. Spray or grease your cookie sheets.

Let your cream cheese & butter soften a little but don’t let them get warm or runny. (I don’t let mine reach room temperature – they are both still pretty chilled when I mix them.) Beat in a mixer until well mixed and smooth. Then add your brown sugar. Mix well. Then add the granulated sugar and mix well. Next, add the vanilla & mix well. Finally, add your egg (or eggs, if you are doubling the recipe) and mix well.

In a separate bowl, thoroughly mix all dry ingredients: Flour, Baking Soda, Corn Starch & Salt.

Now, turn your mixer back on & dump one cup of dry/flour mixture into the wet ingredients and mix well. Continue to add dry ingredients to wet – one cup at a time, mixing completely. When finished, add the whole bag of chocolate chips and mix again.

Your cookie dough should be THICK – super, thick. It won’t even fall off of your mixer/spatula when you lift the mixing stand. Place large chunks of dough about two inches apart on your cookie sheets and bake for 9-11 minutes. Depending on the size of your cookies and your oven – you may need to bake them for a couple of minutes longer but don’t overbake them. The bottoms will brown completely & the tops will brown slightly here & there.

Now it’s time to enjoy those ooey, gooey, creamy, dreamy, delicious little clouds of cookies and then throw away all of your other chocolate chip cookie recipes because you won’t be needing them anymore…

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MCCABE REALTY!
